Haylee and Dalton’s Redwood Forest Adventure Elopement was a dream come true! We began the day at their rad airbnb located near Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Park. This is one of my favorite places to document love in the California Redwoods! Their day began nice and slow as they enjoyed the soft morning light together.

When I arrived, I captured their details, getting ready moments and the writing of their vows. After we ventured to the Boy Scout Tree Trailhead for their ceremony and mini adventure.

Haylee and Dalton’s Redwood Forest Adventure Elopement was absolutely beautiful. They enjoyed a quiet trail all to themselves. When we came across a tree full of ferns, we knew it was the perfect spot for them to share their private vows.

After Haylee and Dalton’s Redwood Adventure Elopement, we headed north to the coast to chase the sun and soak up all the amazing vibes from their wedding day. These two had such a special fun day and it was incredibly amazing to document their love and joy!

Some quick tips!

Season: The best time of year for the California Redwood National and State Parks is actually year round, however, the Summertime can bring crowds.

Spring brings lush greenery and blooming wildflowers, adding vibrant colors to the already stunning redwood forests. It is a beautiful time for elopements, with fewer crowds than the summer months. 

Fall is stunning, with gorgeous foliage, decently warm weather, and smaller crowds.

Winter is nice if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet and don’t mind some rain. I have some very cute clear umbrellas! Embracing the weather on your day can make for amazing memories. Overall, this is one of the best spots for winter elopement because it remains open all year round!

Whichever season you choose, make sure you’re prepared for the ever-changing weather by bringing along waterproof clothing, layers, and good, sturdy boots to trek the trails.

Avoiding Crowds: Summer months can be busy with tourists. Consider a weekday elopement or plan for early morning or late afternoon to avoid the peak crowds.

Cell Service: There is minimal to no service throughout the Redwood National and State Parks. Downloading maps beforehand is essential.
