D and P celebrated their love with a Glacier Point elopement at sunrise in Yosemite National Park. They wanted an intimate experience before joining their family in India for a larger wedding. They blended their passion for exploring and nature into an adventure-filled morning at Glacier Point.

We arrived at Glacier Point shortly before sunrise. D and P were so excited to be there and looked stunning in their traditional Indian attire. D’s mom has a clothing boutique so their clothes were even more special and meaningful. They could not have matched the morning colors better! Once we were all set to go, I guided them to the fun overlook rock with just enough time to take star photos. There is something so magical about lantern photos with the stars!

Quick hot tip: It is super important to arrive early enough to get parking at Glacier Point during busy seasons. This is one of the best places in Yosemite to catch the sunrise! Also, make sure to always check the current road conditions for closures and updates. Yosemite is a wild place and things happen! Luckily, I know of many awesome spots to catch the sunrise incase anything were to disrupt our plans.

After watching the sunrise during their Glacier Point elopement, D and P explored the winding road and soaked up more of the morning light. They had so much fun dancing, laughing and just being themselves. P mentioned how he wasn’t smiling. I knew how much of his personality was coming through and I told him how wonderful he was just being him! The photos are the cherry on top, but the moment with your person is the whole reason you are doing this in the first place! D and P asked if they could take pictures with their car. 10000% yes! It was a big part of their story as a couple as that is how they have visited their favorite national parks.

After soaking up all the fun at Glacier Point, we headed towards the trailhead at Taft Point. This is a short 8-minute drive and a fun addition to a morning elopement at Glacier. We still had a little bit of soft morning light and were eager for more adventure! The hike to Taft Point is roughly a mile long. As we walked the trail we talked about their future together and passion for food and travel. It was fascinating learning more about them and their experience growing up in India. They were so excited to go home to celebrate with everyone. As we continued our hike, we came to a point where the sun light filtered through the trees. It was absolutely stunning.

Once we arrived at Taft Point, we explored the fissures and took in the vast views! Taft Point is the place to be at sunset, but it’s quiet and intimate in the morning. D had been to Yosemite before, but this was P’s first time. It was so cool watching them take in these special moments together. They had the most magical morning celebrating their love and it was the biggest joy documenting it all! I am endlessly passionate about helping my couples create and experience unforgettable moments and adventure on their day!
